Naked Putin, President Trump and Prince Andrew
Despite portrait painting being the mainstay of my practice, I have always worked on larger compositions, often in response to the social political issues of the day. My recent paintings have included quite graphic statements and observations on the war in Ukraine, featuring a naked Putin and also a menacing Prigozhin. Some other works explore the subject of social inequality (“The Gleaners, featuring Prince Andrew and William”), the #metoo movement, highlighting the depravity of some old men in suits, and the Post-Truth era, with President Trump.
