about

Peter D’Alessandri studied for a BA in Fine Art at the Norwich school of Art in the eighties, but then proceeded to pursue a career away from art for the next 20 years.  A major life event prompted him to reassess his priorities and objectives in life, and he returned tentatively to painting in 2005. What began as a cathartic exercise in capturing his loved ones on canvas has slowly developed into a fulltime art practice. He works from a studio in Eastbourne, England.
Aside from painting portraits for commission, he has also explored current social/political issues in some of his work – a reaction to the tumultuous times we live in.
